Terms of Use
The short version. Space Wiki is a space game for kids, used with a grown-up's permission. There are no ads, no accounts and no subscriptions. Every space map is free. The only purchase is one optional "Pay once" unlock for the extras, made by a grown-up. Use it kindly, and tell us if you find a mistake.
1. Who we are
Space Wiki is made by 4V3D OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 17515961, Asula tn 5-26, 11312 Tallinn, Estonia, tel. +372 54440211). In these terms "we" means 4V3D OÜ and "you" means the grown-up who agrees to these terms for themselves and for the child who plays.
2. Agreeing to these terms
Before Space Wiki can be used, a grown-up answers a short question and taps "Agree and continue". By doing that you confirm that you are an adult, that you accept these terms, and that you have read the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Space Wiki.
Kids should use Space Wiki with the permission of a parent or another responsible adult. You are responsible for how the child in your care uses it.
3. What Space Wiki is
Space Wiki is a learning game about planets, moons, stars and spacecraft. It is meant for fun and general learning. We work hard to keep names, numbers and stories accurate, but science moves on: new moons are found and measurements get better. Space Wiki is not an official scientific source.
4. The app and paying
The full Space Wiki game is an app for Android, iPhone and iPad. It is free to download, and every space map in it is free to play. A one-time purchase ("Pay once") opens the Space Wiki Pro extras, such as the space passport, true size and trivia, and everything we add to them later, on that store, for as long as the app exists. There is no subscription.
For the first 7 days after installing, all Space Wiki Pro extras are open for free, so a grown-up can try them first. After that they stay locked until the one-time purchase, and nothing is ever charged automatically. The purchase is made through Google Play or the App Store, and the store's own terms and refund rules apply to it.
5. Fair use
Please do not copy, sell or republish Space Wiki or its stories as your own, try to break or overload the service, or use it in a way that breaks the law. Using it at home, in a classroom or in a kindergarten group is welcome.
6. Content and credits
The game, its design, its pictures and its stories belong to 4V3D OÜ. Every picture was drawn for Space Wiki. Facts about planets, moons and spacecraft come from public NASA sources, and star positions from public star catalogues.
7. Availability and updates
We keep Space Wiki working and fix the mistakes we hear about. For as long as the app is offered we supply the updates it needs, and if Space Wiki Pro does not work the way this page and the store listing describe, tell us and we will put it right; if we cannot, you have the remedies the law gives you. We cannot promise it will never have a fault, and it is built for current versions of Android, iOS and the major browsers.
8. Our responsibility
We are responsible for what the law makes us responsible for. Within that, 4V3D OÜ is not responsible for indirect loss, and for other loss our responsibility is limited to what you paid for Space Wiki. None of these limits applies to death or personal injury we cause, to anything we do on purpose or with gross negligence, or to your consumer rights when the app does not work as promised.
9. Changes to these terms
We change these terms only when the law or a store's rules change, for security or technical reasons, or when we add or change a feature. If a change matters, we raise the version number and the app asks a grown-up to agree again. A change never takes away anything you already paid for. Small fixes to wording do not need a new agreement.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If something goes wrong, please write to us first and we will try to fix it. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the country you live in and can go to its courts. Consumers can also take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (ttja.ee).
